The presence of clean, fresh water is important for the proper care and maintenance of captive reptiles and amphibians. The Exo Terra® Frog Pond has a very natural and realistic pebble finish that blends in with any type of terrarium. The unique shape of the Frog Pond allows you to install the pond semi-recessed into the substrate to mimic a riparian zone. This design provides easy access for reptiles and amphibians to hydrate, while the shallow body of water and integrated steps prevent animals from drowning.

IDEAL FOR DENDROBATES, TREE FROGS AND OTHER AMPHIBIANS.
Amphibians do not drink water, but replenish their moisture and ion levels through the skin by osmosis. They absorb water, through their permeable skin, from moisture in their environment, as well as by sitting in a shallow body of water, absorbing moisture. Because most amphibians breed in temporary or permanent shallow pools, or bring their tadpoles to these bodies of water, the Frog Pond is an important accessory in all tropical terrariums.
